Customer Review: Excellent camera, handy size

I LOVE my SD770. It's far less plasticky than Canon's other offerings and feels more jewel-like with the extra metal. I tried a larger Canon 870 P&S with a wider lens but just couldn't get over the bigger dimensions. The 770 is a perfect size to carry everywhere. I love how you can set the print button to almost whatever function you want. I have it set for the exposure function. The close-up feature is phenomenal. At less than a 400 ISO, I get very little noise. Video feature is really quite handy and useful. Battery life is incredible.
Keep in mind that I shot professionally for thirteen years (Hasselblads and Canon F-1's) and now shoot with a Canon 40D, so I'm kind of particular about my image quality.
My only gripe is that the battery cover has gotten really loose over time (have had the camera for a year), so I have to be careful to not open the cover when shooting, thereby shutting the camera down.

This camera has features including a 10.0 Megapixel, 1/2.3-inch CCD, DIGIC III Image Processor, 3x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses new compact, high capacity Battery Pack NB-6L to shoot up to approx. 300 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media.
