Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon Pixma Pro9000 Professional Large Format Inkjet Printer (9995A001)Customer Review: A Real Pro Printer! Summary: 5 StarsJust setup my Canon Pro 9000 printer this PM and couldn't be happier. The setup following the easy install directions went flawlessly. It took about 20 minutes including doing the print head alignment. I am waiting for a Eye-One monitor calibration device to be delivered, but I thought I would just try one of my high resolution prints from my Canon Rebel Xsi camera on Canon Glossy Photo paper for fun. It was unbelievable! The EasyPhoto Pro software is a cinch to use and it makes me wonder if I really need to spend the $$$$ to purchase a higher end Photo program. I can go right from Digital Photo Professional to EasyPhoto Pro and obtain perfect prints that seem to match my monitor colors already!
Customer Review: Poor Borderless Printing Summary: 2 StarsI have the i9900, I do a lot of greeting cards, the main reason I purchased it was because it said it did borderless printing.
It will print borderless, but you get ink splashes all over the card.
Customer Review: I Love This Printer!!!! Summary: 5 StarsI was sad to see some customers have apparently had problems with this printer. I have to say my experience has been just the opposite. I don't have one bad thing to say...It arrived three days after I ordered it ( Free Shipping Too!!!) It was easy to set up, and the first image I printed was of my son on the beach and it knocked my socks off. The second image I printed was from a Canon Raw file from a Canon XTi SLR. It was a church interior and the printer did a fantastic job rendering the wood tones. It has totally exceeded my expectations, although I can't speak to the volume of ink used as I have printed only about a dozen images.
I would also mention that although this can be used as an all purpose printer, I use it only for photography. I use an old HP for documents and my thinking is that I would rather save the inks for photos. That might have something to do with the ink usage but I'm no expert.
I DO know about photo quality however, and I whole heartedly recommend this printer. My experience has been great.
Customer Review: Canon Pro 9000 is pants Summary: 1 StarsI bought this printer about a year ago. It has been no end of trouble. On the rare occasion it has worked it has produced acceptable prints, but often with banding and lines. Its function is appalling. It is fussy, spends minutes and minutes and minutes gyrating and whirring and doing nothing only to end with an error message. It uses vast amounts of ink which is expensive and most of the ink is consumed in the cleaning process and the whirring that it does. I really recommend that you do not buy this printer. You will spend time with service agents, tearing your hair out, screaming at the thing saying, 'why is it doing that,' when in the end it does nothing. The paper jams, and the mechanics operate inconsistently. Avoid this printer at all costs.
Customer Review: Stop looking..this is the printer you need Summary: 4 StarsI have been through several printers within the last month and I have to say that by far this is the best printer. At first I was a little hesitant to purchase it because it was definitely an investment, but I am glad I did. The pictures come out so clear and so fast. The ink doesn't take forever to dry like other printers and it printed so clear and crisp. I usually print from photoshop and was having such a hard time getting colors to match, but this printer worked perfectly. I have used cardstock and it has printed wonderfully. I am truly impressed!
Also I ordered this from Amazon last Wednesday and received it within 1 business day.....Amazon Prime ROCKS!
