Customer Review: Canon mp470

This AIO is a great value for the $. It's not real fast and a bit loud, but so what? It does all its jobs fairly well and is very easy to use with its on-screen directions/commands. I'd highly recommend it for basic home use.

Customer Review: Great!
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this all in one last year to bring with me to college. I used it quite frequently, making black and white scanned copies (2-4 pages) from my workbook everyday, and a few times, printed out a bunch of papers for midterm and final practices. It did its job and printed out fast. The quality of the copies were good too! People thought I was using the actual workbook pages (I wanted to save the pages in the book, which is why I scanned and printed it).

For photos, I haven't tried it out, so if you're wanting a photo printer, don't base my review for that. But, for a multi function printer, it's great!

Customer Review: Piece of crap

I rarely get so explicit with titles, but this worthless thing really makes me mad.

It worked for about two months, then started dying. The scanner went first-and it was never good to begin with. Wouldn't take the first ten commands!

Then the paper feed. Honestly, I have never even been able to run the ink out of the original cartridges. It never worked that long.

Customer Review: Piece of junk
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this printer because I wanted something multifunctional (print, scan, copy) and inexpensive. Well, I certainly got what I paid for. The print quality was poor. The scan quality was poor. The copy quality was poor. I think the scanner was the worst part, because only on occasion did it actually work. I would have to repeatedly hit the scan button, unplug and re-plug it and NOTHING. It froze often, had many paper jams and changing the ink cartridges was a real hassle. There wasn't a function to let you change the cartridges, so the slots which held the cartridges moved back and forth. I had to stick my hand inside the printer to stop the slots from moving, getting ink all over my hands. And with my luck, the very fragile cord/wire that enabled the slots to move back and forth broke. I went to Best Buy to see if they could fix it and the salesperson suggested I just throw the printer away because it wasn't worth fixing it. So that's exactly what I did. Oh and the ink cartridges are pretty expensive for such a poor quality machine. I will never purchase a Canon printer again. You're better off spending a bit poor money for a good quality printer.
