Customer Review: Excellent quality, but had to park camera in backwards

My Canon Powershot SX110IS doesn't have the svelte size of a regular compact digicam; it's more like a chunky 35mm point and shoot. I didn't want a bulky case to add to the size so I looked at generic neoprene camera cases. This is one finicky camera to buy a bag for. If the bag fit in the length, it didn't fit over the 1.75" depth of the lens area; then if the case was properly thick, it was too short. I checked out a few Lowepro Rezo models. Didn't find anything suitable.
I finally gave in and bought this bag. There may be variations in quality control because my camera never fit this bag "snugly" as it did for other Canon sx110is owners. The logical way to put the camera into the bag is "lens side up with strap toward the flap". This absolutely did not work on this particular bag.
I tried sliding it in, in all four possibilities: facing up, down, top to bottom. Though the inside is felt lined, I was afraid if I had to continually force the fit, the camera would eventually get shiny rub marks. I even re-checked the packaging to ensure Amazon sent me the right model of bag because this bag was a smidge too small at the base to accommodate the thick lens hump!
The configuration that fits with least resistance, is lens side up and strap at the bottom of the bag, so part of the lens is peeking out when I open the flap. I just hold onto the strap while inserting the camera, so I have a few inches of strap remaining to thread through the flap.
Overall, a quality bag with nice smooth leather surface, a solid magnetic clasp and perfect stitching details. I just had to work with it a bit. The successor camera, Canon PowerShot SX120IS has the same body, so it should fit just as well.
