Customer Review: More benefits than just manual focus

I adapt Contax lenses to my 60D, and when using them with the Ef-A screen, not only was focus difficult to acquire, but metering was extremely irritating: Photos would overexpose at apertures faster than f/2.8 and underexpose at apertures slower than f/4. After switching the screens (an easy process), metering was perfectly consistent from f/2 to f/22, only overexposing a third of a stop at f/1.4.
For anyone shooting with adapted lenses, I cannot more highly recommend this.
Note that this screen can only display the depth of field of about an f/1.8 lens, and the visible bokeh appears as a hexagon at apertures larger than f/2. It's not a problem for focusing an f/1.4 lens, because images shimmer slightly when barely out of focus, almost like microprisms, but you will get more blur than what you see at f/1.4. In addition, for all lenses, the defocus blur isn't evenly lit, but instead speckled. Not a problem, per se, but it isn't exactly pleasing to look at.
