This lens is a vast improvement over the kit lens that came with the Rebel XTi. Good low light photos and less noise. I would definitely recommend this lens for anyone suffering with the kit lens.

IS technology compensates for camera shake by providing the equivalent effect of a shutter speed up to four stops faster.
