Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG for Canon EOS SLR Cameras (Black with Green Accent)Customer Review: Good value for general use Summary: 3 StarsI bought this online from Amazon for $41.00 and I really like it. It is true that the zippers are "loose" and can open up as you walk. I solved this by using one of those really small carabiners used to hold keys to hold the two zippers together. This is a bit of a pain but it assures that it will not open and have stuff fall out. You could also zip them all the way to one side of the bag.
The bag is really fairly roomy but I do wish it was 4-5 inches taller, to accommodate a few more items and to spread the load over a larger area. Construction seems very good but the bag could use a bit more/better padding on the back so there would be a bit more protection when you set it down. It is true that the backpack's straps provide additional protection if you lay it down correctly.
I'm presently carrying two camera bodies, three lenses, one extender, two battery chargers, four batteries, several Compact Flash cards and a small flash w/accessory kit. I'm also carrying several little camera manuals and other small items. With all this, it is fairly heavy but everything fits snuggly and the pack is quite stable.
I've removed the side and bottom straps as I won't carry any tripod I own there. I do keep them handy for carrying a monopod but just don't like having them on to catch on things when I am wearing it. I have no idea how well "weatherized" this is but it does appear to be heavier, treated nylon on the top and covering the zippers.
Overall, I do think it is a very good value for the money...just cover up the Canon logos!
Customer Review: back pack Summary: 4 Starsits comfortable and very useful, more so than the other style bags. you can customize everything inside to set it up for your options, seems to have plenty of room for lots of stuff
Customer Review: Lots of room in a small package Summary: 4 StarsHOW I USE IT:
Got this backpack for the following items:
Canon xsi (450d)
18-55mm kit lens
50mm fixed lens
55-250 telephoto lens
Canon FS200 camcorder
PROS:
Fits the gear perfectly with room to spare. Like others have said, lots of ways to reorganize the partitions and everything is soft inside.
I like that the backpack isn't huge (I have a Swissgear for work and it's not only huge but really heavy) - this one is light but am confident it would protect the gear in a fall off a bench or something like that.
CON:
Only downside is that it might be a little pricey considering how there's not much to it. Take a Jansport bag, add some partitions and some interior padding and voila, you got this bag.
Overall, nice bag, I've already unstitched the Canon logo because I don't want to advertise what's in the bag and plus it's not like this is something I'm going to throw on craigslist in a few years. It's a good bag.
Customer Review: Decent backpack, reasonably priced Summary: 4 StarsExcellent response by vendor, Adorama - shipped right away and had it in hand in 48 hours.
Product is advertised as being able to hold a camera with battery pack attached... yeah, kind of, but you have to squeeze it in. As with other reviewers, I would have appreciated a few more straps. You must have a place to lay this pack down to access your materials. Don't even think of trying to stand it on its end. All that being said, it is sturdy, comfortable and well designed. You can get a good bit of stuff into it including a couple of lenses.
Very well designed for a day trip of photography climbing up the hill to get pictures of autumn in Vermont... exactly why I bought it and exactly what I intend to do very shortly.
Worth the money...
Customer Review: Great bag! Great value! Summary: 5 StarsI have used this backpack for about 2 months now and it has been awesome! Plenty of storage, adjustable compartments, and feels secure when carrying it through the woods. I'm so very glad I chose this backpack! Highly recommended!
