It's ink. It sticks to paper so people can read stuff. It's wet at first but then dries up and is pretty much permanent. If you have an ink jet printer I highly recommend ink.Customer Review: Canon Original OEM Ink

I have always used original OEM ink with my Canon i860 printer and have never had a problem with print quality or functioning of a cartridge. My wife does a lot of photos so we keep a supply of cartridges for her use. Will continue to use these products.
