Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon BCI-6 Black/Color Ink Tank 8-Pack SetCustomer Review: Can't beat the price Summary: 5 StarsIf you check all the retailers, individual cartridges for my Canon Pixma IP 8500 (8 cartridge model) would cost around $11-12 each, that's approximately $96 for all eight cartridges. Costco and Sams sell the cyan, magenta, and yellow for around $30 for the three pack BCI-6. Unfortunately, they don't stock the black, green, red, photo magenta, and photo cyan colors.
Fortunately, Amazon.com sells the 8-pack for $61.99 plus free shipping, which comes out to $7.75 per cartridge. This is quite a savings if you
print alot. The 8 individual cartridges are sealed in plastic and from Canon. I do not try to buy cartridge imitators, since I print quite a few photos.
I wish the ink industry would be more competitive in their cartridge pricing, but as far as this purchase, I would recommend the various multipacks that Amazon.com sells for any printer.
Customer Review: Great value Summary: 5 StarsI'm a Canon authorized service technician, and an avid photographer, and I only use Canon branded ink in my I9900. This ink pack is a great value for the price and keeps my Canon printer printing like new.
Customer Review: Can't beat the genuine article Summary: 5 StarsI have tried saving money by buying generic inks for my Canon i9900 printer. Believe me, in the long run those pennies saved just bought me aggravation. That's why I was so pleased to find this set of genuine Canon inks being sold by Amazon. I will never buy generic again, knowing that I can have the "real deal" for such a great price. No more colors that are off, no more clogged heads. Thanks Amazon!
Customer Review: Canon cartridge reviews Summary: 5 StarsI have used third party cartridges in the past and have had nothing but problems with them. I had to replace the print head twice in my i960 due to clogging and overheating of the electrical components. Since I have switched to using genuine Canon cartridges exclusively in my i960 and i9900 printers, I have had zero problems. Apparently, exact ink formulations are critical in these printers.
Customer Review: black ink deteriorates Summary: 1 StarsThe black ink gets a brown rusty finish almost immediately regardless of whether the print is under glass or not and in an office or in my home. I don't want to have to use a clear spray. I just ordered an off brand replacement to try their black.
