This is something that should come standard with all lenses so I always add one to my cart when I purchase. That aside, don't hesitate to add one to your lens purchase, it's well worth it. I realized how important these can be as my heart sank looking at a shattered UV filter on a $600 lens but was relieved to find no damage at all to the lens itself.
