Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Canon 430EX Speedlite Flash for Canon Pro1, Pro 90, G Series and all EOS SLR CamerasCustomer Review: Excellent Flash Summary: 5 StarsI am using this device on my Cannon Rebel Xti and it works very well. I had no problems setting it up and getting the camera to take great pictures of my kids in doors with my f/1.8 50mm lense.
I'll leave the techincal review to those more able, however for the hobbiest that wants to take excellent pictures of their children, this is a must after a dSLR and a "50mm" lense.
Those wanting a more professional review will need to look for other reviews on this flash.
I highly recomend this for any hobbiest.
Customer Review: Great flash for the price Summary: 4 StarsI've been needing a flash for a long time and was actually looking into getting the more expensive one but because of someone's review on this site I did a bit more research and decided, especially for the price, that it would be best to start off with this flash. Which I highly recommend others doing. I plan on getting a defuser because I feel the lighting is a bit too harsh for my liking. Then again I am a newbie to flash.
Customer Review: Good for candid photos of family and friends Summary: 5 StarsThis flash works great with both my Canon XTi and XSi cameras and improves my indoor photos of my grandchildren.
Customer Review: So far so good Summary: 5 StarsSeems like a good unit. Works as expected so far. I cannot complain about it. I am waiting for a diffuser I bought. I hope it doesnt diffuse too much. But that won't be the fault of this flash. Just starting out it will suit me just fine but I know it does not have the same oomph that the 580ex or ex II.
Customer Review: Flash Summary: 5 StarsWorks great. Eats batteries, but so does every other flash. Make sure you use rechargeables.
